Welcome to Bay TV Liverpool
By Chris JohnsonWe are proud and delighted to welcome you to Bay TV Liverpool - an exciting new showcase for Liverpool, its people and the entire city region.
Bay TV Liverpool is different - a video on demand IPTV station that is dedicated to telling the story of one of the greatest cities in the world.
And it is different because Bay TV Liverpool breaks the mould and sets a new benchmark as an inclusive TV station where "audience participation" is vital daily ingredient.
Alongside our professionally-made content we invite and urge our viewers - the public at large - to get involved by contributing their own videos and posting advertisements.
If you have an issue you want covered by Bay TV Liverpool, you can send us an email, and if time and resources allow, we may get there to cover it in a programme.
But we cannot be everywhere and that's where YOU can get involved - by making and uploading a short video to Bay TV Liverpool, to share with everyone else.
It takes less than a minute to register as a user and, once you on the list, you can start uploading videos immediately.
So, what are you waiting for? It could be a local issue or news item in your neighbourhood that you want to highlight, simply a comment you wish to make, or a video about the history of your area or a performance by a pop group or perhaps a school play, or a sports match. The possibilities really are endless!
Whatever it is, we simply ask that you remember this is a TV station and that you should make all your content as balanced and as interesting as possible.
It should be something that will be of interest to rest of the city, region and the wider world. It may be edited highlights of a wedding, a travelogue from your holiday.
You decide on what you upload. It is your station, your showcase, and the place for you to share the news, good and bad about the great city of Liverpool, the wider region and its entertaining and talented inhabitants.
It is vital that the file size of any video is 50mb or less. Videos should be between 2 and 10 minutes in length. If you have material that runs over that time-period, then upload it in "episodes".
Bay TV Liverpool adopts Ofcom broadcasting standards on taste and decency. Remember that programmes may be viewed by anyone regardless of age so please refrain from abuse, bad language or indecency.
The editor reserves the right to delete any material that is considered offensive or in breach of Ofcom guidelines.
