Africa Oye 2012: Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra - Omo Mo Gba Ti E

Dele Sosimi has been a constant at the heart of the afrobeat movement since Fela Kuti first took Nigeria and the world by storm.

Dele joined Fela's Africa 80 in 1979 and carried on down the line of afrobeat royalty when he started Positive Force with Femi Kuti. Sosimi played keyboards as well as taking the roles of orchestrator and arranger in both bands.

Dele's solo work is an often virtuosic (but always groovy) take on the afrobeat genre, with heavy jazz and traditional African percussion influences.
