Mumbai | A new record of UPI transactions was made in the month of October. During this period, 1658 crore transactions worth 2,350 lakh crore rupees were done. This figure is the highest since the launch of UPI in April 2016. Earlier, a record 1504 crore transactions were done in September this year. During this period, transactions worth 2064 lakh crore rupees were done. According to the National Payments Corporation of India, this increase in transactions has happened due to person-to-merchant transactions, i.e. payments for the purchase of goods and services.
